(3DS) "Pacman & Galaga: Dimensions" Announced

(3DS) "The Conduit" is in Works for the Nintendo 3DS

Here you have it people! Proof that a version of The Conduit in some form is in works for the Nintendo 3DS.

"We are very much pulling over this engine and this technology on this new hardware. We're still early. The resolution is definitely lower, but the screen real estate is smaller so it balances out. We've not had a lot of severe optimisation yet, but we're going to be able to have something very close to this [Conduit 2] on the 3DS probably by GDC. We've got environments from this already up and running around. You can shoot, you can select different weapons and you can see enemies. It runs pretty darn well with full 3D and everything. I would guess that SEGA will be interested. I had a nice conversation just yesterday with their head of artist and repertoire. At DICE, the conference in Vegas that's coming up, we'll probably have some more chats. We're very excited about that system and what we're going to be be able to do on it. The work we've done with the Wii, we're going to have a serious leg up. It's quite different than developing for the DS and the DSi. Developers like us that have more of a console experience on GameCube and on Wii are going to be able to take advantage of the 3D better and they're going to be able to do a little bit more with the hardware than people who are coming at it from the straight DS angle and used to doing more 2D, or very limited 3D, kinds of things. There's nothing like it at all (on 3DS). We can be a shining star on this." - High Voltage's Eric Nofsinger

DSi, One Step Closer to Being Fully Homebrew Friendly

Some time last month The common keys for the Nintendo DSi were found by hackers. Now, thanks to Team Twiizers (the same guys behind the Wii's Homebrew Channel), we are one step closer to having a more homebrew friendly Nintendo DSi. Check out the new exploit below.

Games to Look Forward to.

RP to M Logo

It's finally 2011 and unlike last year I find myself wondering where are the games? Last year, when it came to the Wii's lineup, there was at least one major game every month. This year I'm finding it hard pressed to even think of a game for the next few months. After a few moments of searching hard, I found the following games and videos

Mario Sports Mix

Conduit 2

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

The Last Story

Special Note: If this game does not make it state side, I will riot, and cry and bawl for a long time. -well, at least until a translation group releases a translation patch ;)

The Grinder

I'm not sure what the deal is with this game. Last time I checked, the Wii version was slated for released in October of this year. I'm not sure if this game will ever see the light of day considering that High Voltage Studios is also working on a XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 version but who knows.

... right there, we have at the least five really good games to look forward to. I'm sure there will be other surprises this year. Only time will tell. For now, let's enjoy all of the great Wii games we have now. :)

Internet Channel Petition

Dear Nintendo, Adobe and Opera,

Since the early days of the Wii, your company (Nintendo), has advertise the, very useful, "Internet Channel" as a key feature of your home console. While I do not discredit the Internet Channel as a valuable feature, many Wii users are beginning to have major issues. The most important of the problems is the lack of proper updates. The last time the Internet Channel has had a worthwhile update was back on October 10, 2007. That update gave the channel's users, USB keyboard support, the launch time was greatly reduced, and up to 56 favorites were able to be saved. Other notable features of your last update include, the ability to send Favorites to people in the Wii's Address Book. as well as the ability to highlight words on a Web page and copy it to the "Search" function.

While all of those features are great, the most important feature of the Internet Channel has been greatly neglected. While browsing text-only pages might be a speedy process, media heavy pages tend to suffer drastically. Without a proper flash update, the "Internet Channel" has now been rendered nearly useless. This letter and petition is being created to bring awareness to the three parties involved in creating a proper flash update (Nintendo, Adobe and Opera). Things have degraded so far that Youtube embedded videos on web pages such as blogs are no longer viewable from the Internet Channel. It is honestly very hard to recommend the Internet Channel as a purchase to a new Wii user. In its current state, it would be more comfortable browsing the internet from a computer than from the comfort of one's couch. This needs to change.

We, myself, the people who are signing this petition are solemnly asking you, Nintendo, Adobe, Opera, to please get together and solve this issue. There are many Wii users who would benefit from such an update and many more future Wii owners as well. Please take this petition into consideration and know that this is proof that Wii owners DO care about the Internet Channel and would like to see more "regular" updates. This petition will be hosted from my blog which can be found at the following address, http://lightykd.blogspot.com If you wish, we would be glad to have a response from a Nintendo, Adobe or Opera representative in the comments section of this petition. If you would like to contact me personally, you may reach me at VIA e-mail, lightykd@yahoo.com

Sincerely,
Cirrell Battle

NOTE: To everyone who will be signing this blog, please place your "digital signature" within the comments section of this blog post. Just type your name on the first line and if you would like to suggest features, break down a few lines and type what you would like to see added. If you are doing the latter, please stress the need for a Flash update. The need for a Flash update is the major reason for creating this petition. Good luck to us all...
